There are few things in life more satisfying than a before-and-after, and this kitchen remodel does not disappoint. Keep reading to learn about the project and see the incredible transformation.
The Challenge
We love a good challenge, and this kitchen remodel definitely presented one. The client wanted to take her dated kitchen, which had lots of dark wood, and turn it into a modern, bright space. Along with wanting a more modern feel, the client had several other items on her wish list.
One of the biggest problems with the client’s old kitchen was that it didn’t have a lot of functional storage, and a lot of the storage she did have was open, which made the kitchen feel cluttered. The kitchen also had an odd layout and featured a large wooden arch attached to the island.
The Transformation
We had our work cut out for us, so we got busy. We cut down the arch, which opened up the space immensely. We also added lots of storage with pullouts. The dark wood was replaced with emerald green cabinets that brightened the whole space up. In addition to the kitchen, we also completely renovated the pantry. We added a cabinet specifically for mail storage and a paneled beverage fridge. With her new kitchen and pantry, the client now has plenty of storage.
