“Sometimes more is more,” says Haden Long. At least that was the case when it came to the design of this powder bath. The bathroom design was part of a new construction build in east Springfield. “It’s the main bathroom that guests use, so the client wanted it to have a lot of wow factor,” Long says.

It’s all in the details
In order to bring the wow factor, Long and her team incorporated a variety of materials and textures. A combination of 2 metallic wallpapers from Schumacher adorn the walls, bringing a lot of visual interest to the space. The metallic theme was continued with marble tiles that were inlaid with brass.
When it came to the vanity, the Ellecor team wanted to think outside the box. They designed a custom-made reclaimed wood vanity. The feature adds a touch of warmth to the space while still feeling modern. Additionally, the bathroom also features wainscotting, which elevates the whole space.
Although minimalism is not going anywhere, don’t be afraid to go a bit over the top every now and then. The results can be stunning.
